Ethos
To enable young peopleto play Football from U.7 to U.18s. To help every member develop their footballing skills. To Foster Loyalty and Encourage & Reward Effort. To Promote the Club, Town & Local Community.
In support of this Ethos it is expected that.
1. Players.
a) Behave in a manner that will maintain the reputation of the Club.
b) Show courtesy by paying attention during training & team talks.
c) Show respect for your fellow Players.
d) Attend training on a regular basis.
e) Any player in arrears with 2 weeks or more of outstanding subs shall not take part in training or playing in matches (league fixture or friendly) until all outstanding monies has been paid into the Club.
f) Advise your team manager if you are unable to attend training.
g) If you are absent for 2 consecutive weeks without having advised your team manager you may be deemed to have left the Club.
h) Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters and always have regard for the best interests of the game.
2. Parents.
a) Recognise the value & importance of managers & coaches, who freely give up their time to help our youngsters.
b) Encourage and ensure players abide by the rules of Club Code of Conduct.
3. Parents, Club Officials & Managers.
Young people are not playing to satisfy your ambition, they are involved for their enjoyment not yours.
a) You have a responsibility to encourage young people to play by the rules.
b) Teamwork & effort are as important as winning, accept losing without undue disappointment.
c) Do not allow your team to gloat over their victories.
d) Never ridicule or shout at a young person for making a mistake. Look for opportunities to praise them.
e) Set an example by applauding good play by both teams.
f) Never publicly question the referee’s decisions. Never doubt their honesty.
g) Help remove verbal & physical abuse in Football.
h) Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters and always have regard for the best interests of the game
4. League Disciplinary Action
In the event of a player being fined or receiving an administrative fee from the GFA Ltd (Youth Committee) the player’s parent or guardian will be responsible for payment. If they refuse to pay the fine or administrative fee the player will be automatically barred from club membership.
5. Everyone – from Players to Club Officials and anyone else connected/involved with the Club
Bradley Stoke Youth FC expects everyone who is either a member or is involved in the Club, in whatever form, to do their bit in helping the Club to meet its commitments as an Affiliated Member Club of the Football Association through the Glos FA with regards to the Football Association’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures, Codes of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy.
